The ICDP Chilled Rolls are manufactured by a combination of two techniques. First the molten metal with alloys such as Silicon, Nickel, Chromium, Molybdenum and Manganese is spun cast so that the shell at the surface has high wear resistance and then the core of the metal is statically cast. The Core can be grey iron with flake graphite, iron or spheroidal graphite iron depending on the mill requirement of neck strength.
